Defribrillators – and our Air Ambulance Landing Site

Morchard Bishop now has two defribrillators in addition to the one that is at the Doctors Surgery. One is installed outside the Methodist Chapel Lower Room and the other is in Church Street on the wall of the skittle alley.

Both are located by discreet strobe lights and a sign. Two courses have been run on their use and more will be arranged if sufficient people register their interest with Bob Patten our Parish Clerk.

Morchard Bishop is one of the first villages in Devon to have a day time AND night time landing site for Devon Air Ambulance.
Thanks to our Football Club, MB Playing Fields, our Parish Council, Margaret Squires, Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) and particularly to all the hard work by Dawn Parkhouse.

We all hope it will not be needed, but if it is, the floodlights enabling night landings, will be remotely switched on by DAAT from Exeter.
